This is what we believe:
God
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct Persons – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe God is: the one and only who has always existed; creator of the universe and all creatures in it; judge of all nations, who are accountable to Him; absolutely just yet full of mercy; revealed through his chosen people Israel.
Genesis 1, Colossians 1:16-17, 1 John 4:16
Christ Alone
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He is the only way to the Father, and there are no other ways. We believe that Jesus is now highly exalted and seated at the right hand of God the Father in heaven.
John 14:6, 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 1:3-14
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a: person, distinct from Father and Son; power, enabling the use of supernatural ‘gifts’; purity, producing ‘fruit’ of godly character. We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in the saints and empowers them as the Helper and the Comforter.
Isaiah 11:2, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19, Galatians 5:22
Body
We believe that we are part of one body; the Body of Christ. Every disciple of Jesus who has repented of their sins, has been baptised in water for the forgiveness of sins, has received the Holy Spirit, and is actively following the Lord Jesus, is part of this universal body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Romans 12:4-5, Ephesians 4:4-6
Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant, inspired and all-sufficient Word of God able to make one wise for salvation, and is the true source of wisdom to equip people for good work. We believe that the Bible is authoritative in every aspect of the believer’s life.
2 Timothy 3:15-17, Matthew 24:35, Hebrews 4:12-13
Sin
We believe that the seed of sin is within man, but through repentance and water baptism, the chain of sin is broken, and by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, man is able to live in victory over sin.
Romans 3:23-24, Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 10:13
Salvation
We believe that salvation is through faith in Jesus. Salvation is a process which starts with repentance of sins, faith in God, and new birth out of water and Spirit. It continues with sanctification and perseverance, and it ends with the receiving of a glorified body with which we live with God for eternity.
John 3:5, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 2:8-9
Good News
We believe that Christ has commanded His disciples to preach repentance and forgiveness of sins to all nations. We believe in the command to share the good news (the Gospel), as it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Rom. 10:15).
Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 10:17, 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
Christ’s Return
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to this earth to judge the living and the dead. We must be a prepared and spotless bride, remain faithful, crucify our flesh daily and rejoice in God as we love Him with all that we have.
Matthew 24:42-44, Revelation 22:12, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
